BFI London Film Festival 2025 is upon us.
This page is to supplment the BFI LFF 2025 Planner on https://lff-planner.co.uk and will explain the calculations we do for the end times of screenings.
We use different "buffer" times for different types of screenings and events in the BFI London Film Festival.
Buffer Times
We use the following buffer times in our calculation.

| Films | 5 minutes |
| Galas | 30 minutes |
| Screen Talks | 5 minutes |
These times are based on personal experiences and the valuable contribution of the BFI Southbank WhatsApp group.
Calculations
The BFI London Film Festival provides the start time and the runtime of the film or duration of an event.
This results in the following calculation:
Start Time + Runtime + Buffer Time = End Time
